WHO IS IT AIMED AT?
Adagio is aimed at young dancers enrolled in national or international dance schools, aged between 7 and 21.
CATEGORIES AND LEVELS
The competition is divided into two categories:
A - Amateur - Young dancers who practice dance up to 5 hours per week;
P - Pre-professional - Young dancers who practice 6 or more hours of dance per week.
In each of the categories, dancers may participate in:
Solo;
Duo;
Small Ensemble (up to 5 elements);
Large Ensemble (6 or more elements).
There are 4 levels:
Elementary: 7 to 9 years old;
Beginner: 10 to 12 years old;
Junior: 13 to 15 years old;
Senior: 16 to 21 years old.
STYLES
Classical/Neoclassical;
Contemporary.
PRIZES AND GRANTS
Monetary rewards;
Diplomas, medals, and trophies;
Grants;
Other prizes to be announced.
HOW TO GET TO OUREM?
By plain (Lisbon):
Ourém is 130km from Lisbon's Humberto Delgado Airport. The airport has a metro station that will take you to the Oriente Station (1,50€).
Here you can take a bus (10€) and in 1h15 you will be in the city of Fatima, which is about 15 minutes away from Ourém.
By bus: Fatima and Ourem Bus Terminals
By train: Nearest train stations to Ourém are Caxarias and Chao de Macas.
WHERE TO STAY?
Fatima is one of the main tourist centres of the country, usually receiving more than 5 million tourists per year, so it is possible to find accommodation very easily.
ADAGIO has a partnership protocol with the SDIVINE FATIMA HOTEL that offers advantageous conditions for the participants of the event.
IF I STAY IN FÁTIMA, HOW DO I GET TO THE THEATRE OF OURÉM?
ADAGIO will provide buses connecting Fatima (SDivine Hotel) and Ourem (Municipal Theatre).
The trip takes 15 minutes.
Where can I have my meals?
In the surroundings of the Theatre there are restaurants where you can enjoy a meal at affordable prices.
